Call for abstracts

The Organization Committee invites researchers to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentation at the International Symposium.

General Policy
All abstracts must be submitted and be received on or before November 1, 2008 through the On-line Abstract Submission System. Abstracts must be original and have not been published or presented at any conferences prior to the 13th International Coeliac Disease Symposium (ICDS2009). The accepted abstracts will be published in an abstractbook that will be distributed at the Congress. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee of the ICDS2009, and reviewing results will be announced by emailing a notice of acceptance/rejection to the corresponding authors by December 1, 2008. Instruction for oral / poster presentation will be sent to presenting authors of the accepted abstracts. Presenting authors must register and pay the registration fees to ensure the rights for the presentation and publication of the abstract.

Abstract Categories
The International Symposium will have 10 sessions each covering a different subject: For each session 3 – 4 abstracts will be invited for oral presentation. All other accepted abstracts will be invited for poster presentation.

The subjects are:
1: The Diversity of CD
2: The Epidemiology of CD
3: The Diagnosis of CD
4: Small Bowel Imaging
5: Genetics in CD
6: The pathogenesis of CD
7: Gluten in the gluten free diet: new findings
8: Inflammation of the Gut
9: Manifestations outside the gut and Refractory CD
10: Therapy and prevention of CD

Important Dates for Abstract Submission
On- line Abstract Submission System open, April 1, 2008
Deadline for Abstract Submission, November 1, 2008
Notification of Acceptance, December 1, 2008
Deadline for Early bird Registration, December 14, 2008
Deadline for Pre-registration, March 7, 2009
